Cheeseburger In Paradise

Cheeseburger In Paradise is a delicious cheeseburger casserole that your entire family will enjoy. Everyone loves cheeseburgers. This is a creative way to serve cheeseburgers for your entire family without having to ‘man the grill’. Casseroles provide a 1-pan method of cooking your entire meal and having a cheeseburger incorporated into this type of dinner just seems like a must have!

Casserole Ingredients

For this amazing dinner casserole, you won’t need a huge list of things to gather up. Rather, just a few key ingredients like tasty seasons and Bisquick (yes, Bisquick, you know that delicious pancake mix?!) that will make a huge impact on your taste buds. Here is what you will need:

  • 3 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick Mix
  • 2 Eggs

Prepping The Cheeseburger Casserole

As previously stated, this cheeseburger in paradise is a tasty dinner casserole that will be large enough to feed your hungry family. Prior to baking your casserole, you need to cook the ground beef and chopped onions together in a pan on the stove. This will allow the hamburg to soak up the onion flavor as it cooks in it’s juices. I’m not a fan of pre-cooking things before cooking them in an oven, but in this case, it is well worth the extra 10 minutes of cooking time.

After the meat is cooked, drain the excess grease. I never know what to do with that grease so I always set it aside in a bowl and let it cool. After it cools down, I usually pour some of the grease over my dogs’ dog food. They are usually waiting at their respective spots, salivating while they wait for me to put the food bowls down! It works out well that they love it and I don’t have to throw away the grease and worry about critters getting into my trash cans before trash day.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non stick cooking spray.
  • Cook beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until the hamburg is cooked, approx 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in salt, garlic powder, and worcestershire sauce and mix well.
  • Spread meat mixture into greased pan.
  • Then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and Bisquick. Try to get out as many lumps as possible.
  • Pour Bisquick mixture on top of meat mixture.
  • Bake in oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Once done, let cool for approx 5 minutes.

Cooking Cheeseburger In Paradise

Anyway, back to the casserole. Now it is time to season the meat with salt, garlic powder, and worcestershire sauce. Once mixed, things really get good! It’s time to spread the beef into the 9 x 13 pan and then top it with shredded cheddar cheese. You can really see this cheeseburger casserole taking shape and it looks (and smells) amazing already! The only thing left to add is the Bisquick mixture. Making the Bisquick batter is like making pancakes. Whisk together milk, eggs, and Bisquick well enough that most of the lumps are gone. Nobody likes lumpy pancakes and nobody will appreciate them in this dinner casserole either.

Finally, pour the Bisquick on top of the cheese and bake in the oven for 25 minutes. You can tell it is ready when a toothpick comes out clean. Once it’s done, let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into it and serving it up!

Classic Cheeseburger Casserole

Cheeseburgers are an American staple. Everyone loves cheeseburgers. The juicy ground beef with melted cheese in between a soft and sometimes crispy bread. Yum! Additionally, you can dress them up in a variety of ways; ketchup, mustard, pickles, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, etc etc etc. It’s no wonder people love these!

This cheeseburger in paradise casserole picks up on the very things that everyone loves about their favorite cheeseburgers. This dinner has the same juicy beef. The appetizing cheese is there too. And let’s not forget about the awesomeness of the bread-like texture that the Bisquick provides. Put them all together and you have yourself a delectable cheeseburger in a casserole form!

Your family will love tailoring this dinner to their specific taste by making it their own with preferred condiments. Don’t worry, they won’t ruin all your ‘hard’ work by loading up their slice with ketchup. Let them have at it and make it as gross, ahem, I mean yummy as they would like!
